Race Cancelled Due To Covid-19?

Training for a big race is a great way to develop a sense of community around a common goal. Running groups can provide support and motivation from others who are able to empathize with the highs and lows of preparing the mind and body for race day, but Covid-19 has changed the way we’re able to interact with these communities as many big races have been cancelled while we do our part to flatten the curve.

The “Heel-ing” Journey

It has been 3 weeks now since I had my right heel operated on. After waiting for 2 years for my turn in the surgery room, I am relieved to have closed the door of constant pain management and to enter into a new chapter, one that will allow me to return to what I love to do without the tiring aspect of a foot that constantly hurts and has a way of taking the fun out of many of my adventures!

FKT – Juan de Fuca Trail

Exciting this week that a short video came out on my 2017 FKT attempt of Vancouver Islands Juan de Fuca (JDF) trail. This is one of the most rugged trails that I know of and for some reason I have developed a love affair with it for the past 15+ years.
